Review – Cursed Fates (Zodiac Academy #5) by: Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti

After the devastating events at Zodiac Academy, we have to deal with this darker world we’re faced with.

Lionel seeks to hurt us, the Nymphs seek to hurt the entire Fae race, and between all of it, we just have to try and survive each day as it comes.

I’m afraid of everything falling apart, but it looks like it already has.

Cursed Fates was the perfect title for this installment. This book hurt so hard. So many things come crashing down for the Vega twins and my heart aches for them.

There are not many “happy” moments in this book, but they are there. I was so happy to see Tory finally give in to things she wants and know she’s deserving of them. With that, I think Tory had a bigger role in this book. A lot of the turn of events happen to her and I feel she really grows into someone new which I was happy to see.

Now, that’s not saying Darcy doesn’t have her moments because there’s two huge ones that happen in Cursed Fates.

I will say these books keep continuing to get longer and length, and you wouldn’t even realize it. I still devoured the story like it was 250 pages and not 886. When you can make 886 slice through like butter you KNOW you’re doing something right.

There are still three books left in this series which makes my heart so nervous for The Vegas and The Heirs. I can only hope for a happily ever after in the end, but not so sure we’ll get it.
