Synopsis: Being the financial caretaker for her deadbeat parents isn’t the life professional organizer Sterling Andrews dreamed of. Tired of being the dependable—and boring—daughter, Sterling decides to have a little fun. And what could be more fun than seducing rich bad boy chef, Jack Vaughn? Except, after one scintillating night together, Sterling’s not only lusting for Jack, she’s working for him. And remaining professional becomes harder every day.
Already a major success thanks to his exclusive restaurants, Jack Vaughn is looking for something more. Ultra responsible Sterling is unlike anyone Jack has met…but she’s his employee. Unwilling to give her up, Jack makes Sterling an offer she can’t refuse—for four sexy weekends, he’ll indulge her most wicked fantasies with no professional strings attached. But will mixing business with pleasure spell disaster? Or will they find the recipe for satisfaction?
Thoughts: Recipe For Satisfaction had me in its grips as soon as I heard Jack Vaughn, tattoos, and a tongue ring. Yes ladies (and gents!) a sexy tongue ring! Oh no, but that’s not all… our lead boy cooks too! I absolutely love a book that pulls me right in from the beginning with a lead character who’s strong but looking for something, a sexy dream man, and yet a background story that perfectly weaves them together. Recipe For Satisfaction definitely fulfills all of those.
Brazen books are always books that I can never put down until I finish because you instantly fall in love with the chemistry between the characters. I just live for those instant connections when you can sense the sexy sizzle right from the start. When you see two characters where love just slowly creeps up on them without either of them realize it’s happening. That is Jack and Sterling. They both have their own lives and their own troubles yet somehow in between all of that they find comfort in each other where they both thought neither of them needed. I absolutely love Jack’s playfulness and the fact that he cooks and then on the other side Sterling has her head on right with her job and I give her so many props for what she deals with in her personal life.
Overall, Recipe For Satisfaction is yet another Brazen book that I could not get enough of. It’s a fun, seductive, quick read with so many real life qualities. And believe me, I definitely wanted to get my own taste of Jack Vaughn’s tongue ring!
