Blog Tour: Toxic

____________
The Book

Synopsis: When a Six saved Kale’s life the night of Sumrun, she warned there would be consequences. A trade-off. Something taken for the life they gained. But Dez never imagined she’d lose the one thing she’d give anything to keep… And as if it’s not enough Dez finds her immunity to Kale fading, the Six brought in to help Kale learn to control his killer touch starts drooling on him the moment they meet. Worse than that? Jade can touch Kale. But bimbo Barbie is the least of Dez’s problems.
After Dez and Kale got away at Sumrun, her father lost not only his most powerful weapon but an important piece of the Supremacy project. Forced by Denazen to remedy the situation, he poisons Dez and offers her a choice–surrender to Denazen for the cure…or die. Determined to find a solution that doesn’t involve being bagged and tagged–or losing someone she loves–Dez keeps the poison a secret. But when a rash of Denazen attacks hit a little too close to home, Dez is convinced there’s a traitor among them. Jade.
Sacrifices, broken promises, and secrets. Dez will have to lay it all on the line if there’s any hope of proving Jade’s guilt before they all end up Residents of Denazen. Or worse, dead…

Jus’s Dream Cast

I work best when I’ve got a picture in my head. Characters, for me, need faces. When I started TOUCH, my dream cast kind of planned itself out.
Dez Cross – Dez has been Avril Lavigne in my mind from day one. At the moment I’m kind of torn. I love Avril for Dez, but the chick on the cover of Toxic is pretty perfect, too! What do you think?

Kale – Kale was—before Mr. Hotness appeared on the cover—Ben Barnes in my head. Picture that boy with bright blue eyes and midnight hair… *wipes drool*
Alex Mojourn – This one was the hardest. I know exactly how Alex looks. He’s kind of like a young Spider One (which is what caught Dez’s eye in the first place). I think with the blond hair and, of course, Fred, Xavier Samuel would make a good Alex.
Ginger Midlen – Ginger was Betty White right from the first page she popped up on. She wasn’t a planned character, but when she sprang onto the page during that first Six rave…well…It was Betty all the way.
Sueshanna Odel – Next to Alex, Sue was the hardest. It wasn’t really until I was working on TOXIC that she took a more solid form in my head. I think Kate Beckinsale makes a pretty awesome Sue.

Daxil Fleet – Dax. Dax, Dax, Dax. Some of you know I have a thing for Dax—and it only intensified during Toxic. When you read it, you’ll know what I mean 😉 I think Wentworth Miller would make a pretty badass Dax!
So what do you guys think? Agree? Disagree? Have other ideas? I’d love to hear them! 😀
SS: OH MY GOD. KALE. ALEX. DEZ. DAX…. DAX!!!! Hottie hots hottttt people! I love them all so much! Especially DAX. Holy hell sauce. And Avril as Dez is EXACTLY how I imagined her as well.
