Hey all, so I’m kicking off this lovely Hollowed Blog Tour… and let me tell you this book is AMAZING. I was seriously obsessing over it forever after I finished. I still may or may not be ;). – The Book –
Synopsis: All 18-year-old Briar Greyson wanted was to figure out this whole living-away-from-your-parents thing. Apartment, steady job, cool roommate? Check. Noah, her adorable (albeit elusive) boyfriend? Check. Everything in the life of Briar was pretty good.
Then she and her roommate are attacked on their way home one night. Briar wasn’t supposed to survive.
Instead, according to the two guys who saved her, she’s turning into the things that attacked her: a vampire. Totally crazy and Not Okay. Now Noah’s secrets are coming to light, and he wants Briar dead. Then there are the vampires who attacked Briar to lure out her sister.
Her sister…who died years ago.
The city’s body count is rising, and Briar wants to help put a stop to it. But first, she has to figure out who the real enemy is: the vampires, the boy she loves, or the sister she thought she’d lost.
Go buy it! Seriously. It’s only $2.99!!
Basically a steal for how amazing this book is!
– The Author –
Hello, everyone! Thanks for coming to kick off day 1 of the HOLLOWED blog tour. Jena asked me if I would do a playlist for today, to which my response was an enthusiastic YES, PLEASE. I love sharing playlists for my books, because they play an important role from forming ideas, to writing, to even editing. My playlists can get pretty massive, though, so I cut it down to the bare bones of songs I felt really matched the story and helped shape it the most.
(Clicking on the song will take you to the song!)
A lot of these are Briar-centric songs, given she’s the protagonist of the book. 1-4 and 6 relate to Briar and Noah and their relationship. 7 is an absolutely amazing song, and it’s my overall ‘theme’ for the entire book. Every word of it fits Briar and her growth. 8, though, is a Ruby song, and a depressing one at that. I can’t say too much about it without spoiling. 9 is something from Daniel’s point of view. Regarding who? Well…it isn’t blatantly stated in the book, but the signs are there. Thanks, Jena, for letting me come by and share!
ANDDDD Drum ROOLLL…. The amazing Dream CAST!
NOW IF THAT doesn’t make you excited to read it… I mean PHEW look at those hotties! If you want to check out more dream cast picks for HOLLOWED or upcoming books in the series check out Kelley’s Pinterest Page
– My Review –
Hollowed is a story that is so dark and adventurous that all I wanted to do is go into my reading bubble and stay there until I finished. And then I obsessed over it when I was done. That is the kind of story I love to read. Hollowed couldn’t have been better. I loved every moment of it from the first page to the bittersweet ending.
