– The Book –
Synopsis: Until he met Dez, Kale’s days were filled with violence and death. He was used as a weapon of destruction by the power hungry men of Denazen. He’s a Six. A person with an abnormal ability. Some people call them gifts, but not Kale. Kale’s touch means instant death.But now there’s Dez, the girl he can touch, and they’re hunting down Sixes and warning them about Denazen. Kale is learning about the world outside captivity and trying to put his dark past behind him. But they underestimated how badly Denazen wanted him back.
When Dez sacrifices herself to save the new Six they’d rescued from falling into the corp’s hands, Kale is lost. Denazen has brought out its best to get the job done. Samsen, a nightmare from Kale’s past—the only person he’s ever truly feared—has come for them, and it soon becomes obvious he has his own twisted agenda.
Kale will need all his training to get Dez back and ensure they make it out, free—and alive. But will it be enough?

*Thinks about it for a long minute, then smiles*
As hard a choice as it is, I’m going to say Alex. A whole day might be enough time for me to convincehim to leave Dez alone… It would certainly be fun to try.
Shortie Says: As long as you don’t touch him… I’m still gunning for him you know. I think I can shape him up. 😉
Mozzarella Sticks or Pizza?
They’re both very good. Gooey, Dez calls them. I suppose I like gooey. But out of the two, I like the fried cheese sticks better. The Pizza comes with broccoli when Dez gets it. It’s green. I don’t feel like food should be green…do you?
Shortie Says: Broccoli on PIZZA? WTH Dez are you trying to poison Kale?! Just kidding… I like broccoli sometimes. But tip for you Kale, try your pizza with pepperoni or bacon… mmm so yummy!
If you could change your power: reading people’s thoughts or telekinesis?
I would take anything over what I have now… If I had a choice though, I would like to read people’s thoughts. Sometimes I wonder what’s going on in Dez’s head…
Shortie Says: I wish I could read thoughts… just imagine…
Rain or sunshine?
Both. Is it possible to have them at the same time? Because that would be nice…
Shortie Says: Yeah it totally is! Tell Dez to show you a rainbow! …Or I will. 😉
Do you like the day time or night time better?
I like the sun. But I like the stars, too. I suppose I like them both the same. That’s okay, right? There’s no rule against that? There seem to be a lot of rules… I can’t keep track.
Shortie Says: You can make up any rules you want Kale. I’m enjoying watching you do it (as I’m sure a lot of others are as well). Truly. 🙂
Since you’re busted out of Denazen… Would you rather go to the beach or the mountains?
I’ve never been to the beach, but Dez tells me I’d like it.
*Kale leans closer*
I’m not sure, though. Something about having to be barefoot so things can ooze between my toes?
Shortie Says: GO GO GOOOO. You will love it! The beach is one of my favorite places.
On Dez: dark hair or light hair?
I liked it when she dyed it darker—but it was pretty when it had the colors in it, too. Really, it doesn’t matter…although I do like purple. I wonder what it would look like if it were purple…
Shortie Says: Oh! Purple is a fav of mine too!! TELL HER TO DYE IT! I would like to see it purple too!
