Review – Hawke by: Jescie Hall

Nicole never imagined anyone other than her seemingly perfect boyfriend, Patrick, could grab her attention. That is, until ex-convict Cameron Hawke unexpectedly becomes their roommate, turning her entire, calculated little world upside down.

The tension in the house is thick as Hawke’s lifestyle clashes abruptly with hers. Nicole’s curiosities get the best of her as she attempts to learn the secrets behind Hawke’s mysterious past.

Temptations become overwhelming as lines get crossed, feelings get blurry and the truth to a horrific past is unearthed, changing the lives of the three of them forever.

This is the type of dark, steamy romance I crave. Hawke just gave me all the feels… the good, the bad, the ugly, and the hopeful. Cam & Cole are honestly just everything.

Cameron Hawke… when we first meet him you instantly are met with a f*ckboy you’re unsure of. Then enter good-girl, Cole, and she lets Hawke dig his claw in deep and honestly, these two just IGNITED the pages. Once they met I was like “Patrick, who?”. The chemistry, the sexiness, the love… UGH just love them so much.

I will say, cheating is a huge no for me personally. However, this storyline was done so well and I understand how hard it can be to be in a situation where you feel like you cannot get out of it (I’ve been there). When you feel alienated and that relationship is all you know… you’re almost scared to leave. I was SO proud of Cole for finally seeing her worth and all she has to offer.

Hawke, was such an amazing dark romance. I was so immersed right from the beginning and highlighted so many lines. It is my first Jescie Hall book and let me tell you… I am a FAN. I jumped right into KID because he was absolutely the best side character and I just neeeeed to dig my claws deep into his story.
