I’m twenty-six years old, and I want to die.
So when I wake up at the hospital with my brother weeping over me, I know my life is about to change. What I didn’t expect was to get a nurse with cruel eyes and a morbid sense of humor that surpasses my own.
I’m even more surprised when I arrive at Harlow Sanctum and realize that my brother selected an unorthodox rehabilitation center that rooms people based on their treatment plan. And my roommate is none other than the man with cruel eyes I met the day prior.
I crave death—he craves life.
Can two people like us cure each other?

“I’m mesmerized by everything about Liam—specifically, the darkness within him.
What a tough topic to take and then turn into a dark romance. K.M. Moronova did such a fantastic job of weaving these delicate elements together. It was basically an emotional deep thrill ride and honestly I was here and living for it.
Liam Waters… oh my lord. I just love this man. The darkness he feels, the love he tried to give… it is just all so heartbreaking. Yet at the same time, he is strong and steady and I just couldn’t love him more. With Langston and Wynn… I think we’ve all had feelings like them at some point or another. Where you feel like you’re not good enough. My heart broke for these two kind souls who lost their way. Together, I loved seeing the three of them weave in this beautifully heartbreaking story.
“You let me know and I’ll hold you until the darkness fades.”
Going into this, I expected an emotionally dark romance, but there is also a thrill factor that I wasn’t expecting and honestly, I loved it. She took a haunting place for most people and made it even more terrifying. Overall, it is a gorgeous story by K.M. Moronova. Please make sure you read the trigger warnings or ask if you need to before diving into this one. Your mental health matters.
