Bryce Quinlan and Hunt Athalar are trying to get back to normal―they may have saved Crescent City, but with so much upheaval in their lives lately, they mostly want a chance to relax. Slow down. Figure out what the future holds.
The Asteri have kept their word so far, leaving Bryce and Hunt alone. But with the rebels chipping away at the Asteri’s power, the threat the rulers pose is growing. As Bryce, Hunt, and their friends get pulled into the rebels’ plans, the choice becomes clear: stay silent while others are oppressed, or fight for what’s right. And they’ve never been very good at staying silent.
In this sexy, action-packed sequel to the #1 bestseller House of Earth and Blood, Sarah J. Maas weaves a captivating story of a world about to explode―and the people who will do anything to save it.

“To destroy monsters, we become monsters.”
Holy CRAP! As always, that last 10% from Maas is always a doozy. On the last page… she threw us into a whole other world (literally). I know jaws were dropped.
I absolutely loved all of our character’s growth and discovery in this installment. I love that the whole gang is back and even more added. Ruhn is absolutely a personal favorite for me. I adored him in HOEAB but I completely fell for him in HOSAB. Ruhn is just the whole package. He’s fierce, loyal, protective, and everything in between. He gets such a glimpse of happiness in HOSAB and I can only hope he gets to attain it in HOFAS.
“All yours, sweetheart. Every piece of me.”
Bryce and Hunt are just goals. I love the growth of their relationship. They’re so perfect for each other, it’s stupid.
With the world, Maas is such a master of her craft. Only she could weave about six different POVs and still have it all make sense and blow our minds simultaneously. The Crescent City world only grows and HOSAB brings moments we’ve been waiting for and also heart-shattering moments. I cannot wait to dive into HOFAS and I can only hope my heart will be whole at the end of it.
