Anytime a series ends it’s always so bittersweet. The first 30% of this book dives right back into the world in the harshest way and it was so gripping. We quickly see everyone appear and I was just rooting for a happy ending.
Evren, Evren, Evren. Just adore him. Dark and feared, yet all-around good guy to his family, his friends, and his kingdom… he is just hard not to love. I loved his and Adara’s journey.
Although I am happy with how our story wrapped up for our characters, I don’t know if I loved this final book. At least not like I loved the first two. The first two were fun, thrilling, and spicy. Yes, this final installment brings the spice, but it’s almost purely focused around it. I think with the story line there is a lot more that could have been done with it for our characters.
With that being said, I still loved this series! It does have all the tropes you’re looking for: enemies to lovers, thrilling moments, family & friends, SPICE, and more. They are fantastic reads and I am so excited that Holly is creating more books in this world. I cannot wait to see where she takes us.
