He’s the last thing she wants…but the only thing she needs.
Willa Peet isn’t interested in love. She’s been there, done that, and has the shattered heart to prove it. Ready to shake the breakup, she heads to Dublin, Ireland. But there’s a problem. A dark-haired, blue-eyed problem with a bad attitude that rivals her own. And he’s not doling out friendly Irish welcomes.Shane Claymore just wants to race. The death of his father forced him off the Formula One circuit, but he’s only staying in Dublin long enough to sell the Claymore Inn and get things in order for his mother and younger sister. He never expected the sarcastic American girl staying at the inn to make him question everything.
But even as Willa and Shane’s fiery natures draw them together, their pasts threaten to rip them apart. Can Shane give up racing to be with the woman he loves, or will Willa’s quest to resurrect the tough-talking, no-shit-taking girl she used to be destroy any hope of a future together?
This book. I’m telling you, Tessa Bailey continues to impress me and make me fall in love with her work. She’s easily become one of my favorite authors, there isn’t one piece of her work that I don’t like. Unfixable is not only as good as the rest of her work, but it’s better… an instant favorite! I couldn’t put down this addicting romance for a second.
With Willa, our main character, I found myself relating to her so much and that instantly drew me in because I understood her actions and emotions and love for photography so well. I also love when you get to see characters grow and change from the beginning to the end, yet still keep their strong selves intact and Willa is one of those. She’s overcome and grown from so much and I loved watching her Ireland adventure… especially with someone like Shane along for the ride.
Shane Claymore… yeah holy heck on an Irish Popsicle stick, this boy is all sorts of sexy. Not only is he tall, built well, has blue eyes… but he races cars, too. Oh but there’s so much more to Shane than that. I love how he takes care of his family, how he’s taken over the business and being responsible yet at the same time being the dangerously sexy fella we all love to fall in love with. I absolutely loved watching Shane and Willa get underneath each other’s skin and change themselves for the better. Just loved this couple.
More than that though all the characters make you love them… Kitty, Faith, Brian, and even Patrick. Plus you get to see Derek and Ginger from Protecting What’s His, one of the first books I’ve read from Tessa and it was so great to see them happy. Overall, this book has all the hotness, all the drama, and all of the sigh-with-content happiness. Couldn’t have loved it more.
