Savor You by: Emily Snow

Synopsis: Kylie Wolfe and guitarist Wyatt McCrae have been bad for each other for the last several years, but it’s impossible for them to end their toxic push and pull. Not when their attraction is constantly fueled by lust and proximity—she’s her older brother’s Lucas’s assistant and Wyatt is his best friend and band mate.

So when Your Toxic Sequel makes a move to record a new album in Nashville, Kylie decides to make the latest break with Wyatt official by getting the hell out of town. She’ll spend a week in New Orleans. A week to immerse herself in the Mardi Gras scene. One week to not think about the last time she was in New Orleans, seven years ago with Wyatt. Seven days where she won’t have to see Wyatt every day just to fall ridiculously in love with him all over again—where, if she wants to, she can have a normal, no-strings attached fling that won’t end in heartbreak.

Too bad Wyatt ruins everything by showing up, as gorgeous and demanding and goddamn awful for her as ever.

Wyatt refuses to let Kylie give up on him. Not without reminding her why they both fell so far and hard in the first place. Not without making her savor the good memories and what could be their last chance with each other.

Thoughts: This book has just given me the emotional blow up I desperately needed from a book. There are so many ups and downs in this story that make your heart go all over the place. It’s the type of book where you keep rooting for a happy ending, but never quite sure you’ll get it. Savor You is dark and emotional and sexy as heck.

I loved this story as soon as I read the synopsis about a sexy guitarist and a “toxic push and pull”. I honestly live for stories that give me an emotional heart attack. Stories where the main characters get hurt over and over again. Do I love to see my MC’s tortured? Of course not! I’m hoping for a happy ending just as much as the next reader, but it’s books like this that make me feel something. Books like Savor You that makes your heart ache and make a happily ever after much more worth it.

With the characters, I felt for Kylie through every up and down. Every time she wanted to punch someone, I did. Every time she found some happiness, I wanted to jump up and down for her. Kylie has been through so much in her life already at only age twenty five, it’s hard not to sympathize with her. That being said, I love how strong she was and how kick ass she definitely could be. On the other side of Kylie is sexy Wyatt McCrae. Wyatt I can only describe as a guitar-playing-sex-god-playboy with a whole lot of love in his heart he’s afraid to show. Yep, that basically sums it up. I absolutely loved watching Kylie and Wyatt tear each other apart. I just constantly kept hoping for things to work out between even with all the emotional history. I wanted to kick Wyatt multiple times, but when this boy commits, he commits and it was sexy as heck.

Overall, I really liked this book from beginning to end. I literally finished it in less than half a day. If you want a toxic romance… this is it. If you love music like I do and love stories having to do with bands, give Savor You a try. Basically, if you like your heart being thrown all over the place… this book is also for you. I loved the writing, the story, the tattoos, the side characters, and everything that went along with it.
