Hidden Gates by: D.T. Dyllin

Synopsis: For P.J. Stone, being a “Seer” who has never seen anything is less than fun. And P.J. isn’t known for her patience.

To make matters worse, she must choose a suitable mate to continue the Seer bloodline. Duty always comes before her heart…at least that’s what her parents taught her. When she finds herself wanting someone who is considered off-limits, P.J. is forced to question everything she believes.

As if navigating her love life isn’t complicated enough, P.J. finally receives a vision—of a threat to her world that only she can perceive. But no one will believe a fledgling Seer’s warnings. With nowhere else to turn, she may decide to trust a stranger with her life, her world, and maybe even her heart.

Thoughts: Absolutely loved this book!! There are so many characters to love and so much tension between them all. Plus, the world building and everything inside of it is brilliantly done. Definitely a roller coaster of emotions.

P.J. has always known she was a seer, but she’s yet to have a vision. So when she does finally have one that threatens the whole world, she’s quickly thrown into a life she could have never expected. P.J. is constantly having things thrown at her. Between, her love life, her family, her seer powers, and other factors P.J. has no time to breathe. Yet, I found myself really liking her as a character and hoping for a happy outcome. I even found myself liking Kohl and Jeremy. Even thought I thought Kohl was intimidating and pushy, he’s always there to protect P.J..

I the character I absolutely loved was Bryn. Even at the end when I wanted to kick his ass from here to China, I still loved him. First his name has all sorts of hot points. On top of that he’s got black locks of hair that fall into his bright blue eyes and he’s super tall. So, UNF! Just loved him and I’m hoping for a Bryn + P.J. (or shall I say Peej) happily every after.

There’s so many awesome things that tie this book together: seers, guardians, dragons, speakers, and gatekeepers. Each of them have their own powers and awesome tricks. Personally I’d want to be a speaker so I could talk to animals! Awesome, right? Overall, this book has so much tension, adventure, and sexy times that I couldn’t help but fall in love with it. Cannot wait to read the next one!
