Title: Chasing Mrs. Right (Come Undone, #2)
Author: Katee Robert
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Imprint: Brazen
Links: Goodreads | Amazon | BN | Kobo

Synopsis: Roxanne Stokes doesn’t believe in love. She does, however, believe in the sexy-as-sin stranger who literally knocks her off her feet in front of a nightclub. The chemistry sparking between them takes her breath away, and she’ll do anything to ease the pain in his eyes…until she realizes the handsome stranger is her best friend’s older brother who’s just come home from war.

Ian Walser had no idea the gorgeous woman he slept with the night of his homecoming party was his little sister’s best friend—or that she’d be gone before morning. Roxanne’s touch soothes him in a way nothing else can, and he’s not ready to walk away from that yet. Not when spending time with her gave Ian a glimpse of everything he’s ever wanted.

When his sister unwittingly pushes them together, he sees his chance. But convincing a woman who doesn’t believe in love that she’s his Mrs. Right might be harder than any mission Ian’s undertaken. Good thing this soldier likes a challenge…

New York Times and USA Today bestselling author, Katee Robert, learned to tell stories at her grandpa’s knee. Her favorites then were the rather epic adventures of The Three Bears, but at age twelve she discovered romance novels and never looked back.

Though she dabbled in writing, life got in the way—as it often does—and she spent a few years traveling, living in both Philadelphia and Germany. In between traveling and raising her two wee ones, she had the crazy idea that she’d like to write a book and try to get published.

Her first novel was an epic fantasy that, God willing, will never see the light of day. From there, she dabbled in YA and horror, before finally finding speculative romance. Because, really, who wouldn’t want to write entire books about the smoking-hot relationships between two people?

She now spends her time—when not lost in Far Reach worlds—playing imaginary games with her wee ones, writing, ogling men, and planning for the inevitable zombie apocalypse.

Thoughts: Katee Robert definitely knows how to amp up the sexy, that’s for sure. Chasing Mrs. Right is about more than that though; it’s about two people who’ve lost hope on love and use each other to show themselves maybe all they need is each other. About two people who are running and hiding things in their past, afraid to move on when all they needed was the right person to help them uncover their demons.
In Katee’s book, Wrong bed, Right guy we only get a small taste of what kind of guy Ian is. In Chasing Mrs Right I absolutely loved getting into his head a little more… and his head isn’t the happiest place to be. I love how protective he is about things he cares about. It constantly made me chuck when he talked about Elle marrying Gabe and I love how much Elle was weaved into this one as well because I adored Gabe and her story. Then there’s Roxanne. With her and Ian it’s that physical connection that just clicks with them. Instantly sizzling something fierce and I loved watching these two realize that underneath that fire there was so much more in store for both of them. I would have liked to see a little more background on Roxanne, to understand why she is the way she is when it comes to love, but ultimately I loved watching her and Ian take a chance on love.
Overall, I really enjoyed Chasing Mrs. Right. It’s full of sexiness, hard-work, and about taking a chance on something even if you’re frightened because you never know how truly amazing it could be or how much it could help you. Roxanne and Ian show us that something you need another person to help you fight those demons and hey if the relationship is sexy as heck as well… bonus points for you ;)! Another Brazen title to love!
