Thoughts: Firstly, can we just talk about how hot that fella is on the cover? We only see half his face and I think he’s one gorgeous male. Second, well hell, Tessa Bailey you have a gift. The opening of Protecting What’s His instantly intrigues you and has you falling in love with the Peet sisters. The story itself constantly keeps your attention and loving every single sexy bit of it. Protecting What’s His has instantly become one of my favorite Brazen books.

Our main character, Ginger is no sugar, all spice and everything nice. Ginger has been practically raising her younger sister Willa for as long as she can remember and they finally have a chance to start over. I loved watching the dynamic between these two. They’re both so outspoken and feisty and I just wanted to jump for joy to finally see them both happy. Couldn’t not get enough of these two!

Then there’s Lieutenant Derek Tyler. Derek Tyler, you irresistible sexy fella you. I absolutely love everything about this man. He has a great job, he supports himself, he’s sexy with GREEN eyes (aka my weakness), completely protective, and overall a good, perfect guy. Watching him and Ginger fall for each other made my heart beat all over the flipping place. In the bedroom, Derek is so in control and sexy… he’s definitely a panty-dropper. Plus the lengths he goes for Ginger to ensure she’s safe just one hundred percent melted my heart. Love love love him!

Tessa Bailey honestly has a gift. Her writing sucks you so deep into the story. It’s fun and sexy and so perfectly descriptive. But, on top of that she weaved a horrible family life with a sexy and completely perfect romance, so effortlessly. I seriously could not get enough of this one. I cannot WAIT to get more from Tessa, because if it’s anything close to Protecting What’s His I know I’ll absolutely fall in love with it.
