Blog Tour: From Here To Eternity

Synopsis: Love never dies…but apparently Rachel has.

Waking up one day to her obituary in the news and no recollection of the past few weeks, Rachel calls her husband, Nate, in a panic, at the research facility where he works. Nate is the inventor of CYANAs, Cybernetic Anthropoid Automatons, vessels that look exactly like humans and can store a person’s memories…and maybe even his or her soul.

When Nate arrives home, Rachel doesn’t recognize the man who claims to be her husband. Can Nate convince Rachel to fall in love with him all over again? Especially once she realizes what he’s done…and what it means for their future?

– Hi Paige! You’ve stopped by once before so welcome back!! 🙂 Hopefully I have an all new round of questions for you!

Thanks for having me back!!

– Lets start out with the all important question. Where did you get the idea of creating a book about storing a person’s memories and soul?

I’m a huge nerd. I love sci-fi stories, especially robot stories. I started thinking (and not for the first time) what it would be like to be an android, like a super advanced version of the six million dollar man. We’ve already come so far in medicine, able to replace limbs with more and more advanced robotic arms and legs. It seems a natural progression that we’ll get to the point where we can literally replace every part and the only thing standing between a human and a fully robotic human will be replacing a person’s brain with a robotic one. That would mean transferring a person’s thoughts, memories, personality, everything that makes them who they are into a robotic brain. If we were able to do that…would you still be able to call that person human? Poof…story born.

– Do you have a favorite quote or lyric?

The difference between success and failure is not giving up.

– What do you do outside of writing?

I’m the mother of three teenage daughters. My oldest is in college so when she’s off at school she doesn’t have much need of me. But my younger two are still at home so when I’m not writing, I’m going to marching band functions, student teacher conferences, booster meetings, cooking dinners, cleaning house, and other mother and wifely things. When I have an extra moment, I love going to the movies, or riding bikes in nice weather, swimming and going on country drives on my motor cycle with my husband.

– If you could have any one super power what would it be and why?

Reading minds. Because I’m paranoid.

– If you could be any Disney princess which one would you be?

Cinderella. She’s a strong woman to have gone through the abuse of her step family. Plus now she’s rich.

Lightning Round!

– Polka Dots or Stripes? Polka Dots
– Tattoos or Piercings? Tattoos
– Mermaids or Unicorns? Unicorns
– Jeans or Sweatpants? Jeans
– Cats or Dogs? Cats

Thank you for stopping by again Paige!! 🙂

This was great! Thank you so much for letting me stop by!

From Here To Eternity was a very quick novella with a really interesting concept. I actually would have loved if Paige dove more into this topic and made this novella into a book because the idea of saving memories is so awesome. I loved this fast-paced and exciting sci-fi!
