Synopsis: He’s going in deep to make her his…
Struggling artist Sheridan Harper never imagined she’d spend a sizzling night with Jared Quinn, the smoking-hot star quarterback of her local professional football team, the San Jose Hawks. And she’s even more shocked when Jared’s publicist offers her a proposition: a fake marriage to keep Jared out of the gossip mags. Being that close to Jared would be too tempting, so to protect her heart, she insists on secretly including a clause forbidding sex between them.
Jared just wants to keep his starting QB job and keep it in San Jose. His reputation as a ladies’ man has landed him in the headlines one too many times, but there’s something about his kind, passionate new wife that tempts him beyond reason. Any sort of intimacy between them is completely forbidden, but as their bodies fall in deep, will their hearts follow suit?
Thoughts: Everyone knows that I’m absolutely in love with the Brazen line. I have to admit though, I think Game For Marriage may be one of my favorites so far. This book is the perfect mix of sex, sports, and playfulness. I couldn’t have been happier with this story. It’s one where you fall in love with the characters as they fall in love themselves. I just couldn’t get enough of Sheridan or Jared. And Jared is one hunk of sexy football player too… Let me just tell you! UNF!
I loved each and every character as soon as they were introduced. Sheridan is an artist. A trait I instantly loved about her. Plus she’s the type of girl who has no problem throwing on baggy T-shirts and throwing her hair up into a bun. Aka I completely give all my props to Sheridan. The other thing I absolutely loved about her is she in no way changed herself for Jared. Jared… the sexier than thou quarterback. I honestly loved Jared right from the start. He has the perfect amount of playfulness in him, perfect amount of sexiness and yet I think under all of that he has a good heart. Watching Jared and Sheridan come together was just the perfect union for me. I fell in love with them as they fell in love with each other.
Another thing that I thought was so perfect about this book was the “crashing moment” as I like to call it. When everything is so perfect you know it’s going to crash soon. In Game For Marriage… it wasn’t cheesy or far stretched or “that would never happen”, I thought it was perfectly done and that the resolution was even more perfect. Along the lines of things I loved was the sex scenes. I know how that sounds, but hear me out. A lot of sex scenes in books just seem over the top to me, but in Game For Marriage I felt they were so real, so carefully written, so perfect for the characters. I loved this book so hard and am so happy with yet another stunner from the Brazen line.
