Synopsis: He wants just one night…
After growing up with an abusive, alcoholic father, Army Special Forces Sgt. Brady Scott vowed never to marry or have kids. Sent stateside to get his head on straight—and his anger in check—Brady’s looking for a distraction. He finds it in his beautiful new neighbor’s one-night-only offer for hot sex, but her ability to make him forget is addictive. Suddenly, Brady’s not so sure he can stay away.
…what they need is each other.
Orphaned as a child, community center director Joss Daniels swore she’d never put herself in a position to be left behind again, but she can’t deny herself one sizzling night with the sexy soldier who makes her laugh and kisses her senseless. When Joss discovers she’s pregnant, Brady’s rejection leaves her feeling abandoned. Now, they must overcome their fears before they lose the love and security they’ve found in each other, but can they let go of the past to create a future together?
Thoughts: I can never get enough of Brazen books, they always make m emotions go up and down. The books refuse to let me put them down till I finish. And, they’re always so sexy and such a brilliant story. One Night With A Hero is no different. I love everything about it. It’s just like a very sexy fairy tale.
Joss Daniels meets the sexy Brady Scott one night at the park. The attraction to each other is impossible to ignore… yet neither of them want a relation. So they give it a one night offer… one night of sex and then that’s it. Then Brady comes to find the sexy woman he had sex with one night is his next door neighbor, and trying to ignore each other is out of the question. But, the unexpected happens… Joss is pregnant. Brady’s hard past with his father causes him to reject Joss and Joss, due to her past, will not let this child grow up alone so she keeps it. Both of them will have to overcome the hurt and rejection if they want to create a future together.
The chemistry between these two characters literally explodes off the page. It’s so natural between the two of them… nothing is forced and the love is there clear as day. I love watching two people who struggle with their past come together to help each other over come those insecurities together. And, that’s exactly what Brady and Joss do, they show each other that the past doesn’t reflect who they will become if they just be the good, loving people they want to be. There’s so many cute moments between them too… which is can only be described as true love, like the Halloween gifts, the Santa Claus and my favorite “bad ass with a waffle iron”, ha! It’s impossible not to love these two together.
If you like Brazen books and haven’t read this one yet… well what the heck are you waiting for? If you haven’t read any Brazen books yet… first you should start. Second, this is a fantastic seductive fairy tale that I think any one would enjoy. Definitely worth a read!
