Blog Tour: Gravity

_____________
The Book

Synopsis: In the future, only one rule will matter:
Don’t. Ever. Peek.
Seventeen-year-old Ari Alexander just broke that rule and saw the last person she expected hovering above her bed — arrogant Jackson Locke, the most popular boy in her school. She expects instant execution or some kind of freak alien punishment, but instead, Jackson issues a challenge: help him, or everyone on Earth will die.

Ari knows she should report him, but everything about Jackson makes her question what she’s been taught about his kind. And against her instincts, she’s falling for him. But Ari isn’t just any girl, and Jackson wants more than her attention. She’s a military legacy who’s been trained by her father and exposed to war strategies and societal information no one can know — especially an alien spy, like Jackson. Giving Jackson the information he needs will betray her father and her country, but keeping silent will start a war.

My Playlist

So as we all know, I love music and have way too many songs on my playlist and not enough time to do anything lately, ha! So here are the first few songs that I heard that sounded “Gravity” like to me. Enjoy 🙂

**

1) The Lumineers – Ho Hey

I belong with you you belong with me you’re my sweetheart.

2) Depeche Mode – Policy of Truth

Things could be so different now
It used to be so civilized
You will always wonder how
It could have been if you’d only lied

It’s too late to change events
It’s time to face the consequence
For delivering the proof
In the policy of truth

3) Anberlin – Godspeed

This song just sounded like the book and the way the government is run, to me.

4) Lights – Fourth Dimension

Bottle rockets and time bombs and warheads
We could go back, or keep on, or be led
Follow me to the chapel, we’re the kings of the castle
It’s a science, but there’s room to believe
In the riots, I find you and I breathe
This isn’t for the weak hearts,
But everyone’s here at some part

5) 12 Stones – The Way I Feel

Lately I’ve been wandering
Off the narrow path
You’ve given me so many things that I’ve never had
And all in all I know it’s you that always pulls me through
If you reach deep inside you’ll see my heart is true

‘Cause I hate the way I feel tonight
And I know I need you in my life
Yes I hate the way I feel inside
And I promise to make the sacrifice

6) Hurts – Illuminated

Suddenly my eyes are open,
Everything comes into focus, oh.

7) Evanescence – Where Will You Go

Another where I just like the sound of this song for the book.

8) Crossfade – No Giving Up

So you found out today your life’s not the same
Not quite as perfect as it was yesterday but
When you were just getting in the groove
Now you’re faced with something new
And I know it hurts and I know you feel torn
But you never gave up this easily before
So why do you choose today to give it all away

There’s no giving up now
Do you really want to give this all away
Can’t you ever see things in a different way

9) The XX – Angels

And with words unspoken
A silent devotion
I know you know what I mean
And the end is unknown
But I think I’m ready
As long as you’re with me
Being
As in love with you as I am

10) 30 Seconds to Mars – This Is War

A warning to the people,
The good and the evil,
This is war.

To the soldier, the civilian,
The martyr, the victim,
This is war.

It’s the moment of truth, and the moment to lie,
The moment to live and the moment to die,
The moment to fight, the moment to fight
