Review – God of Pain by Rina Kent

Version 1.0.0

I made a terrible mistake.
Being a mafia princess, I knew my fate was already decided.
But I went ahead and longed for the wrong one.
Creighton King is bad news with a gorgeous exterior.
He’s silent, brooding, and obviously emotionally unavailable.
So I thought it was over.
Until he awakens a beast inside me.
My name is Annika Volkov, and I’m Creighton’s worst enemy.
He won’t stop until he breaks me.
Or I break him.

.

GOSH. It was like Creigh tied me up with his ropes, because I could NOT put this one down. God of Pain absolutely toyed with my emotions in the BEST way and I absolutely loved this book. Okay, “little purple”. 🥹

I love how in this installment Creighton and Annika are the encapsulation of grumpy x sunshine. They are absolutely everything the other needed. Plus, Creighton’s back story just crushed me. I never cry, and I absolutely teared up reading the bits about his past.

God of Pain, compared to the first, definitely has much higher stakes in my opinion. It gave you that sexy forbidden love plus thriller vibes, and I was absolutely here for it. Plus, we got more glimpses of protective daddies and friends… yes please! This made me want to read Aiden’s book ASAP. I am loving this series so hard… onto some wrath.
