Once an heir, now a warrior…
Freedom is a luxury Viona Tarvas was never meant to have. Born into a kingdom of darkness, untamed powers burn beneath her skin, making her destined to become a weapon. It is an identity she swore to keep hidden, one that led her further into the shadows. While keeping her sword raised and tipped with grief, little does she know she is tied to more than just an ancient prophecy.
A decision…
Cloaked by the night sky, she’s taken against her will by a rude and irritatingly handsome stranger. He pushes her boundaries and incites fury like no other. She plans to fight him every step of the way, until she discovers a life-changing betrayal by her own flesh and blood. Her captor promises answers to the powers that lie dormant, but she questions his motives.
Shadows unveiled…
She soon discovers she’s not only in a race against time, but her presence also seems to bring division no matter where she finds herself. While she holds the future of Vendrelle at her fingertips, something darker follows her. Enigmatic forces are at play while visions pull her into a hollow space where the line of truth is blurred.
Time is of the essence.
Will she be able to make sense of it all and hone her gifts before time runs out, or will shattering truths cleave the land?
This is an epic adult dark fantasy romance novel about a journey through the shadows of betrayal, harrowing truths, and learning how to accept oneself while also finding love in the darkest of places.

““Let them fear you, let them fear us both.”
I am a Monica Amore fan for life! Holy crap what a gorgeous heart pounding debut! The amount of words I highlighted is unmatched. There are so many pieces of this story I loved.
Callian and Viona are just dreams. I mean tall, dark, and handsome comes to life in a captor but for the right reasons…. UM YES. Callian literally all around the perfect man. On the other side, I love how strong Viona is throughout this story. These two… just *chef’s kiss*. There are also a slew of side characters that are wonderful too. If you’ve read the book, don’t hit me for saying this, but…. I want to see more of Ronan (hides).
““You must think I’m a monster.” My mind reels back to my vision.
“I like monsters.” He smiles, catching me off guard again.
The story line, the world building, the gorgeous words crafted… this debut was just beautiful. I kept trying to piece together Viona’s story and like her it always fizzled out of my grasp up until the heart stopping end. A Flame Under The Moon was just lovely and I cannot wait to see what Monica gives us next.

Thank you to Monica Amore for an eARC of the book.
