Kristen Petersen doesn’t do drama, will fight to the death for her friends, and has no room in her life for guys who just don’t get her. She’s also keeping a big secret: facing a medically necessary procedure that will make it impossible for her to have children.
Planning her best friend’s wedding is bittersweet for Kristen—especially when she meets the best man, Josh Copeland. He’s funny, sexy, never offended by her mile-wide streak of sarcasm, and always one chicken enchilada ahead of her hangry. Even her dog, Stuntman Mike, adores him. The only catch: Josh wants a big family someday. Kristen knows he’d be better off with someone else, but as their attraction grows, it’s harder and harder to keep him at arm’s length.
The Friend Zone will have you laughing one moment and grabbing for tissues the next as it tackles the realities of infertility and loss with wit, heart, and a lot of sass.

Phew, this one was a doozy on my emotions. From infertility, to love, to friendships, to parent relationships… The Friend Zone takes all of these and wraps them up into one big twisted ball that I could not put down.
I love Kristen’s fully honest attitude. I am very much like her in regards that if people ask me something, I will give you an honest response, even if it is not necessarily the one you want to hear. I think it is really important to be fully honest especially with your friends, family, and those you love. Kristen’s character exudes this perfectly.
On the other side, Josh is everything a perfect book man should be. He’s dedicated, hard-working, an amazing friend, good-looking, and just an all-around good guy. He’s the type of lover you always want fighting for you.
I will say there are some TOUGH topics depicted in this book. It’s not just a fluffy read… there are a lot of hard hit topics throughout this story. That being said, this is my first Abby Jimenez book, and I am a fan! It was definitely a read I flew through and just kept needing to know what happened next. Will be looking for more of her books for sure.
