Happy Leap Day!
I have definitely been a wash last year and this year on the blog. Life happens, you know? I thought college was a difficult stage in life, but I was so very wrong. This mid-20s thing is the no bueno part of life. It’s the part of life where you’re actually trying to put the rest of your life together. Between balancing multiple jobs, job searching, paying every off, and well still trying having a life and some fun…it gets very time consuming.
However, this year I have been trying to back into the swing of reading and everything that comes along with this wonder world that I somehow got away from. I have read and reviewed four books since January and that alone is (somewhat pathetic from what I used to do) an accomplishment to me.
Yet, the whole reason for this post is to get back into the swing of things (at least try) with a bang. By bang, I mean bring back one of my oldie-but-goodie posts! AKA…. MUSIC MONDAY! Music is still an essential part of my life and that has not changed, nor do I think it will ever.
So without further adieu… my music Monday #63.
1) Trapt – Living in the Eye of the Storm
I’m watching all of these dark clouds
I’m watching blue skies turn to gray
And the lightening has struck ground
And a million eyes start to rain
I’ve got nothing to hold on to
I can’t break through living in the eye of the storm
2) Tove Lo – The Way That I Am
I just love the feel of this one and the lyrics.
3) Twenty One Pilots – Doubt
Just everything about this one.
Shaking hands with the dark parts of my thoughts, no,
You are all that I’ve got, no.
So what do ya think? Comments? Suggestions? Love notes?!
